For All Seasons

A family from Connecticut came to Montana for the
winters. Then they discovered the summers. By 2018,
they’d moved full time. Creekside is the home they
built to stay in: 11,000 square feet on a single level
along the Gallatin River, designed for a life that is
fully, permanently here. The layout follows a strong
axis that keeps natural light and river views present
throughout. Reclaimed timber, locally quarried stone,
and steel-framed glazing establish a palette that is
warm without being heavy. Expansive ceiling volumes
open where the space calls for it; more intimate
transitions create rhythm without interrupting the flow.
The result is a home that doesn’t announce itself as
Montana. It simply is.
